The Showtime streaming service is identical to Showtime Anytime; it offers a back catalog of episodes of various past and present Showtime original series with new episodes of Showtime original series being made available for streaming the same day as their original broadcast on the main linear Showtime channel , feature films and documentaries, and sports events and analysis programs.

Subscriptions are also available over Amazon Prime and Hulu as add-ons, and these cost slightly less than a direct subscription. Unlike HBO Now, Showtime also provides live streams of the East and West Coast television feeds of the linear Showtime channel live streams of Showtime's multiplex services, and sister networks The Movie Channel, The Movie Channel Xtra, and Flix are not currently available on the service; live streams of Showtime's multiplex channels are available for Amazon Prime users as part of the Showtime add-on subscription [57].

However, the channel hinted that the core interactive functions of SHO Sync may be restored in a different form, with the possibility of being incorporated into Showtime Anytime and the Showtime over-the-top streaming service. Since the early s, Showtime has run an adult-oriented late night programming block on its main channel called "Showtime After Hours" which was briefly branded as "Showtime Late Night" during the mids each night after Eastern Time; programs featured within the block include feature films, series produced specifically for broadcast during the block and occasional stand-up comedy specials.

Softcore erotica programming has previously aired during the "After Hours" block, though adult films have been absent from Showtime's primary channel since the mids; the network began broadcasting a limited amount of original erotica series such as Beach Heat: Miami on its main channel in , after having been absent for most of the previous decade.

The network's multiplex channels Showtime 2 and Showcase also occasionally feature adult films during the overnight hours, though this has become less commonplace since late Showtime formerly produced its own original made-for-cable movies , originally branded as "Showtime Original Movies" until and "Showtime Original Pictures" thereafter until the channel discontinued producing television films in Showtime is also one of only two premium cable services alongside Disney Channel during its existence as a premium channel prior to that has produced original movies aimed at family audiences; these films were originally broadcast under the separate banner "Showtime Original Pictures for Kids" from to and "Showtime Original Pictures for All Ages" from to Showtime also shows sub-runs — runs of films that have already received broadcast or syndicated television airings — of theatrical films from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures including content from subsidiaries Walt Disney Pictures , Touchstone Pictures, and Hollywood Pictures , Sony Pictures , Miramax including content from Revolution Studios and Morgan Creek Productions , Universal Studios including content from subsidiary Focus Features , Samuel Goldwyn Films , Bleecker Street after Amazon Prime 's pay TV window for its individual releases concludes , Summit Entertainment for films released prior to , Lantern Entertainment for films released between and , including those by Dimension Films , Anchor Bay Entertainment , Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer including content from subsidiaries United Artists and Orion Pictures , Paramount Pictures, and Lionsgate sub-run rights with the latter three studios are for films released prior to Although it does not hold the pay television rights to telecast recent films from 20th Century Fox — which are held by HBO, as of [update] — Showtime does run independent films to which that studio owns the home video rights, regardless as to whether they were released theatrically.

A pageant for women, gays and transwomen. The segment focuses not on the beauty of the candidates but for their wit in answering questions. Three candidates compete for the crown as Miss Q and A for three rounds. The competition starts as candidates enter the stage one by one. As the candidates walk on the stage, the hosts gives a short background about the candidates such as educational background, occupation, etc.

The candidates are given the chance to introduce themselves and give comedic proverbs which they "believe" in this is very common to any gay beauty pageants throughout the Philippines. The first round begins when all three candidates are introduced.

In the first round, the candidates must answer trivial questions. The first two candidates to answer one question correctly advances to the next round. In the second round, the remaining two candidates are challenged through their wits. In this round, each candidate are asked with outrageous questions they draw from a bowl of questions Example: If there are one thousand grams in a kilogram, how many grams are there in an instagram? The candidate who gave the "wittiest" answer, according to a panel of judges, will be declared the daily winner and advance to the final round.

In the final round, the daily winner will face the reigning Miss Q and A. In this round a single, serious question sometimes about recent events and social issues are asked to both contenders. The winner will be declared through the average score of the panel of judges. If the winner is the daily winner, she will be the new reigning Miss Q and A.

If the reigning Miss Q and A managed to defend the title, an additional crown is added. The longer the reigning Miss Q and A defend the title, the more crowns are added. If the reigning Miss Q and A managed to defend her title 3 times, she will advance to the semi-finals.

If she managed to defend 10 times, she will advance to the grand finals without going through the semi-finals and will be added to the Hall of Fame. If the reigning Miss Q and A advances to the Hall of Fame and the grand finals, the crown is now vacant.

When the crown is vacant, four candidates will compete instead of three and the last candidate standing after the three rounds shall be the new Miss Q and A.
